The ATS20+ is not very friendly to operate. It's form factor makes it hard to use it standing before you. Tuning always starts at the same point within one band and it takes a lot of knob rotations to get you to the desired frequency.
Not surprisingly, the results of this radio improve drastically with a better antenna, like a loop. Using my 80 loop, I receive broadcast and amateur stations on Tropical and Europe Band. The sound quality of SSB broadcasts is a nice surprise, and BFO control is very smooth (with optional 10 or 25Hz steps).
A nice feature (also mentioned in the manual): when you connect an earphone, it works as antenna for FM so you can carry this set in your pocket without the whip aerial. My unit has two USB jacks, a mini type for updates and a C-type for charging. My display is not LCD but LED (blue).
