The Design
A small computer game from the start of the digital era. What, have we started collecting computer games? Not really, but there is a little MW radio built in.
The radio uses an L1050 semiconductor, which I suspect to be an equivalent of the TA7642 radio IC. Two transistors 1012G amplify the sound. The radio has the smallest ferrite rod I've ever seen in an AM radio, is is just 24mm long. And also the smalles tuning capacitor, because it is tuned by a small trimmer cap.
Like depicted above, an ear phone can be plugged and the radio can be switched on by a little switch, so it functions like some sort of matchbox radio. The unit can be opened and then reveals a screen and buttons to play Shuttle Bomber.

This Object
The game contains a small loudspeaker to reproduce the game beeps, but (to pleasure the parents probably) a headphone can be plugged for the beeps. To my surprise, the radio sound is only played through the headphones but cannot be heard from the loudspeaker. I do not know if this is a defect or it was intended this way (maybe because the sound quality of the loudspeaker is too poor for music reproduction). You cannot play game and listen radio simultaneously, only one of the two functions can be on at the same time.
