The Design

This is a scan radio, which means it has no mechanical tuning control,

but only one button SCAN that hops the set to the next FM station. This is cheap (complete scan radios with battery, earphone and torch are sold under one euro) but does not provide comfortable control over the station selection. After pushing SCAN a few times, the set may fall silent (no more staions to find) and you may forget to switch doggie off.

Within its class, doggie isn't so bad. He is equipped with a speaker and can hold paper for you (like its manual on the left).

Sound sample	PLAY SOUND There is no reason why scan radios must perform bad; actually, it receives a lot of stations, without external antenna and without noise. But dogs are for barking, not for singing.

This Object

On March 1st, 2013, there was this charity auction in the Eastcoast in Zeist to collect money for a group going to Africa. Surprisingly many shops and small businesses had donated objects to be sold. A handfull of doggie radios came from Buddy pet store in Kerckebosch.
