 The radio looks nice, is smaller and leighter than its European counterpart, this Nordmende Stradella, but the sound quality does not compare.  The Stradella, with its wooden case, has better sound.  The Japanese, with an eye on export to the US, put CONELRAD marks on the Hitachi. ,br clear=all>

  There is a High/Low tone switch and you can connect a stereo demultiplexer and there is a phone input jack.  At some moment I used it as a PC speaker to assist me in Spanish language courses in a pre-school.
