The Design
Units like thes decent boom boxes were popular among teenagers in the nineties. Just a few years later, radio's combined with CD player became affordable. Copying tapes was done a lot, and this box supports high speed dubbing.

This Object
There is significant discoloring of the case, and some writing (stations on the dial). The radio works perfect and gives very good sound, but the cassette decks are defective. The vampire consumption is no longer tolerable after 32 years. When OFF, the set draws 2.5W, in radio mode the draw is around 5W and in player mode, 8W. The parts found their way to may Balcony Radio.
